NETWORK ANALYST II
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree in a relevant technology field strongly preferred.
- Work experience in a level 1 or 2 technical position responsible for monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting connectivity, hardware and software problems in a Windows environment may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 1 year of experience managing and leading network support, technology implementation projects, end-user application implementation projects, IT construction and maintenance projects, network configuration projects, or other similar technology projects in an enterprise setting.
- CompTIA Network or CompTIA Security required. Applicants without the required certification must obtain one certification within one year of hire.
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification required. Applicants without the required Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification must obtain it or higher within one year of hire.
- Understanding of advanced network infrastructure concepts and security practices.
- Leadership experience and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.
- Work experience with advanced end-user support, advanced monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems pertaining to the LAN and WAN.
- Extensive experience problem solving and resolving device and network issues that negatively impact end-user experience.
- Experience in Windows computer installations, management, and configuration.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
REPORTS TO
Help Desk Administrator
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Receive and resolve issues from first level support and escalate if necessary.
- Lead network improvement projects and strategic initiatives as directed by senior IT staff.
- Provide second tier support and troubleshooting for more complex network issues.
- Mentor Network Analyst team members and assist with their professional development.
- Participate as necessary as part of the District’s Cybersecurity team.
- Assist the Network Analyst and other IT staff with issues related to the installation, configuration, and other technical issues with desktops, laptops, network peripherals and IoT devices.
- Assist the Network Analyst and other IT staff with issues related to network connectivity issues, including troubleshooting Wi-Fi connectivity and more advanced issues on switches.
- Assist with the management of District identity management platforms.
- Collaborate with the network team to address network-related concerns and escalate issues as needed.
- Participates as necessary as part of the District’s Cybersecurity team.
- Improves technical skills in to solve more complex second tier support issues by reading and researching technical publications.
- Manage network-related projects as directed by other IT staff members.
- Develop and update comprehensive network documentation as required.
- Recommends technical improvements and enhancements to supervisor and other next tier IT staff.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in network and device management.
- Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
