DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join us as an Accounting Associate. You will be responsible for performing financial tasks to support the CFO. You will work closely with the CFO to contribute to the financial success of our company. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who possesses as many of the additional skills listed in the second tier below but will consider the right candidate possessing the minimum requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Process and monitor incoming payments and outgoing invoices
· Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances on a regular basis
· Manage and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
· Resolve any billing discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries
· Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
· Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and audits
· Receiving purchase orders and quotes and completing follow-up administrative tasks
· Maintain vendor and customer files and ensure all documentation is up to date
· Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient invoicing and payment processes
· Open, sort, and file daily incoming bills in preparation for payment according to due date
· Process bill payments according to negotiated terms and conditions
· Processing expense checks
· Reconciling bank account
· Various tasks associated with the company’s job costing process
· Various other administrative duties as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree in the accounting field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures
Successful in establishing positive working relationships with team members and others within the organization
ADDITIONAL SKILLS THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS:
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
Previous experience in an AR/AP role
