Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist, Los Angeles Locals Strongly Preferred
Reports To: Sr. Program Accountant
Department: Accounting
Role Summary:
As a 211 LA County Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will manage the full accounts receivable cycle, maintain accurate financial records, process cash receipts, and provide critical support for audits and month-end closing processes. This role is a key part of the accounting team, ensuring the smooth and efficient financial operation of 211 LA.
Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently process all assigned accounts receivable invoices.

Maintain organized and excellent record-keeping files of all supporting documentation, including invoices, approval documents, and all applicable accounting billing folders

Assist the Director of Accounting and Senior Accountant with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support

Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing procedures

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership

Proven skill and experience in processing accounts receivable and billing.

Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Prior experience with Sage Intacct accounting software preferred, not required

A high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail is critical

Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and an understanding of revenue recognition

Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to be a successful and collaborative team contributor.

Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.

Ability to embrace new challenges and adapt as the department grows.
Compensation: $26.44 per hour
