This is a full-time on-site role for a Special Education Teacher with a TVI (Teacher of Visually Impaired) license. The position is located in Modesto, CA. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing personalized education plans for students with visual impairments and other disabilities. Key responsibilities include collaborating with parents, educators, and specialists, providing direct instruction, adapting materials to accommodate students' needs, and facilitating an inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and success.
- Experience and knowledge in working with students with disabilities and implementing strategies to support their learning and development
- Competence in teaching middle school students and implementing effective instructional strategies for this age group
- Expertise in Special Education, including creating and executing individualized education plans (IEPs) and understanding state and federal education laws
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, colleagues, and families
- Possession of a valid Teacher of Visually Impaired (TVI) license
- Experience with assistive technology and adaptive materials for visually impaired students is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
