We're looking for a seasoned .NET developer to join a state government team in Tallahassee, FL, maintaining and enhancing web-based applications that support nutrition and food assistance programs across Florida. Full-time, onsite contract starting June 1, 2026 through June 2027, with renewal options.
You'll be embedded with the agency's IT team β working through requirements, writing and debugging code, supporting releases, and keeping these systems running reliably.
Preference will be given to candidates with prior Florida state government application experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Analyze requirements, develop and modify application code, debug issues, write technical documentation, and support testing and deployment. You'll work across teams, participate in design and code reviews, and handle the full application lifecycle from development through maintenance.

- C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4 and .NET Core 6.0
- MS SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Active Reports
- Azure DevOps, TFS, Git, GitHub CI/CD pipelines
- ReactJS, AngularJS, Bootstrap, MVC 5
- WCF, Web API, Entity Framework
- Role-based security and 3-Tier Architecture
- Google Maps API / Geocoding
- Workflow and routing systems
- gdPicture Imaging Toolkit
- Azure / AWS (a plus)
- Section 508 / ADA compliance
- Strong technical documentation skills
Education
Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Equivalent experience accepted year-for-year.
Security
Level 2 background check required (FDLE FBI fingerprinting) plus CJIS certification within 15 days of start.
