Network Administrator - Project Lead
Location: South Carolina (Fully Onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 months with possibility for extension
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator - Project Lead to support enterprise network infrastructure operations. This role focuses on strengthening and optimizing network infrastructure, troubleshooting problems, implementing enhancements, and monitoring systems in accordance with IT security policies and standards. The position requires statewide travel to facilities for equipment upgrades, installations, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, deploy, diagnose, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless and network infrastructure
- Monitor and identify issues with wireless networks and provide remediation
- Support wireless and network connectivity on Windows-based systems, Mac-based systems, and mobile devices
- Manage wireless network/device lifecycle at all stages
- Assist with ISE registration of devices on the network
- Conduct onsite wireless assessments and create/maintain wireless heatmaps using Ekahau equipment
- Perform enterprise wireless network deployments, installations, and upgrades
- Perform firmware/software/security/feature upgrades and maintenance tasks
- Monitor and complete assigned network tickets in ticketing system
- Provide first and second tier technical support for wireless and network connectivity
- Coordinate and assist with testing and validation
- Work closely with Network, Security, and IT professional groups
- Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation
- Provide regular status updates to management and project team
- Adhere to security and IT policies and standards
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience with Local Area Network (LAN), WLAN, and WAN administration
- Minimum 6 years of experience with Network Administration - CISCO and Palo Alto Firewalls
- Minimum 6 years of experience with CISCO Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Minimum 6 years of experience using a Ticketing System
- Understanding of computer and network operating system fundamentals
- Network Certification
- Experience with Solarwinds Orion
- Experience with Ekahau Sidekick
Education:
- Associate's Degree in a relevant field OR High School Diploma with equivalent work experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb and work on a ladder to reach ceilings to install wireless access points
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 lbs (PCs, monitors, etc.)
- Valid Driver's License required for travel to various sites (~1 day per week, less than 100 miles)

- Ability to prioritize and respond to tasks as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- State healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Experience working in government or public sector environment
Eligibility Requirements
REQUIRED:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- Must be a South Carolina resident OR willing to relocate to South Carolina prior to starting the role at your own expense
