Data Protection Security Analyst (DLP / Microsoft Purview

Info Labs Inc. is hiring two Security Analysts for a 12-month contract (extension likely) with a State agency in Columbia, SC. This is an active, funded requirement with a near-term submission deadline — fast movers have the advantage.

Schedule: hybrid - 3 days a week onsite in Columbia, 2 days remote. Full-time, EST. One virtual interview round, camera on.

Two hard rules from the client - please read before applying:

• You must already live in South Carolina. No relocation will be considered.
• Open to US Citizens and Green Card holders only.

The work: this team runs the agency's data protection program. You'd be running and tuning DLP policies, working insider risk cases, triaging data security alerts, and tracing how sensitive information moves. A growing part of the job is Copilot/AI data security (DSPM for AI) - it's a big reason these two seats exist. You'd also pitch in on vendor security reviews, audits, and incident escalation.

What you need:

• 3-5 years in enterprise security operations - threat monitoring, incident response, risk analysis
• 3 years hands-on with data protection tools: DLP, insider risk management, data security posture management
• 3 years reviewing and triaging data-related security alerts, documenting findings, and escalating per procedure
• An active CompTIA Security or GIAC GSEC - this one is required, no exceptions
• Bachelor's in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, or a related field - or experience that clearly makes up for it
• Microsoft SC-200, SC-100, CEH, or Associate CISSP. Microsoft Purview (DLP, Insider Risk Management, DSPM for AI). Palo Alto Cortex. Azure security and conditional access. PowerShell or KQL. A good story about a DLP policy you tuned and the false positives you killed.
