MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION – Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, military education or High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of experience servicing medical equipment. EXPERIENCE – Five (5) to Seven (7) years of direct patient care equipment maintenance and safety requiring knowledge of sophisticated medical equipment.
EQUIVALENCY – A relevant degree may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis. SUMMARY Inspects and repairs sophisticated medical equipment for compliance to documented safety and performance standards. Manages, mentors and trains other team members on medical devices.
POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE No Direct Patient Care ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Inspects and tests malfunctioning medical or related equipment. 2. Identifies efficiencies and deficiencies of existing medical device systems and take steps to improve the user experience to assigned Lead Clinical Engineering Technician. 3. Tests or calibrates components or equipment, following manufacturers' manuals and troubleshooting techniques, using hand tools, power tools, or measuring devices. 4. Assists with accurate coordination of clinical educational tools. Helps training clinical staff on medical devices as needed 5. Develop best practices related to workflows for collaborative-related processes. 6. Act as the initial point of contact for vendors in relation to medical device implementation or refresh related projects or devices. 7. Maintain expert level knowledge on current industry standards, trends, and developments as they relate to CHCO’s existing medical devices.
