Sterile Processing Educator – Surgical Services

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Educator to support staff training, competency development, and compliance within a fast-paced Surgical Services environment.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: 04/27/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: As needed
Key Responsibilities
- Train and educate SPD staff on sterilization processes and best practices
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and regulatory standards
- Conduct competency assessments and maintain documentation
- Monitor sterilization methods, including:
- Steam sterilization & IUSS
- Sterrad and Steris systems
- Biological & chemical indicators
Requirements
- 3 years sterile processing experience (SPD or OR)
- 2 years educator or supervisory experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification required: CRCST (HSPA) or CBSPD
- Strong knowledge of sterilization, microbiology, and surgical instruments
- Basic computer skills
Preferred
- Advanced certifications (CIS, CER, CHL)
