1) Retirement Analyst Duties For Engagement
• Perform second-level reviews of benefit cases processed (including estimates and final)
• Provides an auditable record and appropriate documentation of member interactions.
• Calculates post-retirement benefit changes, such as Post-56 military service, garnishments adjustments to gross benefits.
• Uses electronic tools to perform research of member information; FileNet, PeopleSoft,
STAR, Legacy systems, and/or the future Pension Administration System.
• Partners with other client Benefits Administration staff to resolve issues of
inaccurate processing
• Reviews survivor/ child survivor annuities, with a detailed review of the original annuitant's record to ensure accuracy of payments.
• Inspects and evaluates the quality of work; adheres to the peer review process, ensures thoroughness when reviewing payment cases.
• Monitor and revise existing processes, procedures, and documentation internal to the Benefits Department for operational effectiveness and compliance.
• Assures procedures for properly documenting and reporting benefits administration transactions.
