What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Technician position at Infojini Inc?
Job Responsibilities:
- Install or replace physical network switches and ports throughout client's infrastructure
- Support System Engineers in diagnosing and troubleshooting network connectivity issues
- Assist with power systems and wireless connectivity support
- Document completed work using notes, photos, and shared spreadsheets
- Ensure proper installation and placement of network equipment
- Identify, transport, and deliver hardware required for installations
- Assist with infrastructure layout and equipment deployment activities
- Communicate installation status, issues, and project updates with the Network Team
- Provide knowledge transfer and technical support to team members as required
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED with relevant networking experience OR Associate Degree/Technical Certification with related experience
- Experience installing and troubleshooting network hardware and connectivity equipment
- Experience supporting network switches, ports, and infrastructure deployments
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to travel to multiple locations and perform work both indoors and outdoors
Desired Skills:
- Cisco Certification
- Microsoft Azure Certification
- Experience with SolarWinds
- Experience working with low-voltage power and multimedia connectivity
- Ability to read blueprints and floor plans
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
