Job Title: Lab Technician
Duration: 4 months (High Chances of extension)
Location: Bridgewater, NJ 08807
Work Shift: 1st Shift
Payrate: $25/hr to $35/hr
Qualifications:
- 0-2-years of demonstrated laboratory experience - Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - word, excel and powerpoint. - Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols, make good observations, pay attention to details, and record detailed notes / data - Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English- Comfortable and able to work with chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols. - The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day. - Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence: Formulation and synthesis of polymers - Testing of adhesives. - Evaluate, collect and record data. - Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook. - Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details. - Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredients. - Prepares coated samples using lab coating equipment and tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
Salary : $25 - $35
