We are looking for a senior domain expert to lead the analysis, design, and delivery of intelligent supply chain solutions for our energy bar manufacturing operations. This person will combine deep SAP expertise in lot traceability, production planning, and quality management with the ability to build, configure, and showcase AI-powered applications in Microsoft Copilot Studio. The role sits at the intersection of SAP functional consulting, demand planning, and Microsoft Power Platform translating complex operational problems into working digital tools that business users can adopt immediately.
Key responsibilities
SAP analysis & traceability
- Lead end-to-end analysis of lot and batch traceability across SAP MM, PP, QM, and WM modules, identifying gaps in batch genealogy, shelf-life tracking, and FEFO compliance.
- Map traceability data flows across SAP tables (MCHA, MCH1, CHVW, MSEG) and document current-state problems with clear root-cause analysis.
- Design and implement configuration improvements within SAP S/4HANA to resolve traceability gaps, including batch classification, expiry date management, and goods movement tracking.
- Support recall readiness by ensuring all finished goods lots can be traced back to raw material batches within minutes.
Demand planning & MRP
- Analyse existing MRP models and demand planning processes, identifying inefficiencies in reorder point logic, safety stock calculations, and planned order management.
- Build improved demand planning models that account for ingredient shelf life, seasonal demand patterns, and batch-specific supply constraints.
- Configure and fine-tune MRP parameters in SAP including planning horizons, lot sizing, and procurement lead times specific to food manufacturing.
- Provide expertise in SAP IBP or APO (advantageous) for statistical forecasting and supply-demand balancing.
Copilot Studio build & showcase
- Design, build, and deploy intelligent agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, connecting to SAP via OData APIs and the SAP Power Platform connector.
- Deliver working applications including a natural-language lot traceability agent, a demand planning assistant, a recall impact assessment tool, and an executive supply chain summary copilot.
- Build Power Automate flows to orchestrate SAP data retrieval, exception alerting, and approval workflows triggered through Copilot Studio.
- Showcase solutions to business stakeholders through structured demonstrations, collecting feedback and iterating rapidly on the applications.
- Embed solutions into Microsoft Teams and web channels for broad business user adoption.
Stakeholder engagement
- Work closely with supply chain managers, quality teams, warehouse operatives, and senior leadership to understand pain points and translate them into technical requirements.
- Produce clear process documentation, solution design documents, and user guides for every application delivered.
- Run workshops and training sessions to embed Copilot Studio tools within day-to-day operations.
