Job description: Packaging Associate (Hand Packaging)
Shift: Second Shift
Shift schedule
Current: Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM-2:00 AM
Beginning September/October: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Associate to join our production team in Sturtevant, WI. The Packaging Associate will be responsible for manually packing and packaging a wide variety of products and materials while ensuring quality standards, accuracy, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack and package products and materials by hand according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Inspect products for defects or damage before packaging.
- Label, seal, and prepare packages for shipment or storage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
- Accurately complete required documentation and basic computer-based tasks.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
- Perform other packaging and production-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in fundamental computer operations.
- Ability to pass required vision testing (with or without corrective eyewear).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and handling packaged materials.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work the assigned shift schedule and transition to the new shift schedule in September/October.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to meet vision requirements with or without corrective eyewear.
Salary : $15 - $20
