Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Linux / Android HAL / VHAL Developer with strong expertise in Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and embedded Linux. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and integrating Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and Vehicle Hardware Abstraction Layer (VHAL) components that enable seamless communication between Android Automotive and vehicle ECUs.
The candidate should have a deep understanding of Android framework internals, Linux device drivers, automotive communication protocols, and embedded software development.
Required Skills
- 7 years of Embedded Software Development experience
- Strong programming skills in C/C
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux
- Experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP)
- Strong knowledge of Android Automotive OS (AAOS)
- Experience developing and customizing HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer)
- Hands-on experience implementing and integrating Vehicle HAL (VHAL)
- Knowledge of Android Binder IPC, HIDL, and/or AIDL
- Experience working with Linux Kernel, device drivers, and boot process
- Familiarity with Android framework architecture
- Experience with Git and embedded software development tools
Automotive Experience
Must have experience with:

Responsibilities
- Design and develop HAL and VHAL components for Android Automotive.
- Integrate Android Automotive with vehicle hardware and ECUs.
- Develop Linux-based embedded software for automotive platforms.
- Customize Android Automotive framework and platform services.
- Implement Android Binder, HIDL, and AIDL interfaces.
- Debug hardware/software integration issues.
- Work closely with BSP, kernel, and application teams.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and boot time.
- Support integration with vehicle communication protocols.
- Participate in code reviews and software architecture discussions.
