We are seeking an SAP Finance/Funds Management/Project Systems SME to support our current ECC environment and the implementation of S/4HANA as part of the SMART project. The SME will act as the primary IT point of contact, working with system integrators, internal IT, and business teams to design, configure, test, and document Finance, Funds Management (FM), and Project Systems (PS) processes.
Responsibilities include supporting end-to-end process design, assisting with data cleansing and validation, ensuring thorough testing of enhancements, troubleshooting issues in ECC and S/4HANA, creating training materials, and supporting cutover and post-go-live activities. The role also involves managing reporting needs, change management, and cross-module/system integrations.
Minimum Requirements
10 years configuring/supporting SAP ECC & S/4HANA in Finance, FM, and PS
2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations (Finance, FM, PS)
Strong knowledge of FI/CO, Funds Management, and Project Systems processes
Experience with month/year-end closing, process design workshops, and documentation (FS/TS/test/training)
Strong understanding of end-to-end business, data, and transaction flows
Experience with public-sector financial procedures and regulations
Desired Skills
Experience with real-time/batch integrations across ECC/S4 and external systems
Background job processing and payment processing (ACH, checks, digital payments)
Integration with external systems/banks, including Microsoft Dynamics
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (ADO)
Experience with ECC → S/4HANA migrations (brownfield), including Fiori transition
Experience developing and executing test scenarios/scripts in ADO
Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s in Business Management or Information Systems (or equivalent experience)
S/4HANA Finance, FM, or PS certifications strongly preferred
