Position Title:- Molecular Biologist Genomic Sequencing
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Interview Process:- First webcam, then In-person
Responsible for performing and coordinating molecular biology testing and analysis on human, animal, and environmental samples. Key focus on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), assay development, validation, and quality assurance. Ensures accurate, high-quality results and compliance with CLIA and laboratory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Extract nucleic acids and perform molecular assays (PCR, qPCR, MALDI-TOF, NGS).
Develop, validate, and implement new molecular and sequencing assays.
Maintain instruments, perform QC, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Analyze, interpret, and report results accurately.
Ensure compliance with CLIA, safety, and quality regulations.
Prepare SOPs, validation records, and documentation.
Support new technology evaluations and proficiency testing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field.
Meets CLIA technologist requirements for high-complexity testing.
Strong experience with NGS platforms and molecular assay design.
Skills & Abilities:
Expertise in molecular biology methods and instrumentation.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Knowledge of CLIA regulations and lab quality systems.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
