What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manual Tester position at Info-Matrix?
Info-Matrix is hiring!! We are looking for a detail-oriented and methodical Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the reliability, usability, and performance of our software products through hands-on testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This is a hybrid opportunity and will require all qualified applicants to be within a commutable distance to Harrisburg PA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute manual test cases based on business and functional requirements
- Identify, document, and track bugs using a standard bug tracking system (e.g., Jira)
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across web, mobile, or desktop platforms
- Review requirements and specifications to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Help maintain test documentation and contribute to process improvement
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in manual software testing
- Familiarity with SDLC and software testing methodologies (Agile/Scrum preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic understanding of databases and ability to run SQL queries is a plus
Nice to Have:
- Experience testing APIs, mobile apps, or cross-browser functionality
- Exposure to automation tools or willingness to learn automation frameworks
