What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Fund Accountant position at Influential Search?
Our Palo-Alto based venture capital client with $2B in AUM is looking to hire a Senior Fund Accountant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as a key member of the team to provide consistently excellent work in the form of appropriate, timely and accurate reports, communications and services
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including the timely processing and recording of cash receipts and disbursements, and proper classification of all activities
- Prepare financial statements and supporting workpapers
- Maintain appropriate records of bank accounts and all other banking relationships
- Perform month-end reconciliations of all cash accounts and other general ledger accounts
- Provide team support to the Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALITIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar discipline
- 4-5 years relevant accounting experience required, CPA preferred
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Applications, ChatGPT
- Capacity to manage and maintain large amounts of transactional data
- Exceptional organization skills
- Eye for detail, independent starter
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and as a team member
