As a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator, you will play a critical role in various clinical research studies across different phases.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide medical direction for the development and implementation of our clinical strategy, collaborating with contractors, volunteers, and sponsors as needed.
- Develop safety monitoring and reporting plans for clinical studies, ensuring high-quality deliverables align with quality assurance project plans and standards.
- Review and interpret clinical laboratory tests, ECGs, medical history data, and other clinical information to evaluate subject eligibility or ongoing participation.
- Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations of potential and enrolled study participants.
- Maintain familiarity with and apply relevant regulatory documents (e.g. 21 CFR, ICH guidelines) and regulations.
- Collaborate with investigators and clinical staff to ensure adequate medical coverage.
- Stay up-to-date on roles and responsibilities of a Principal Investigator, adhering to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
- Offer guidance to operations and supporting departments on medical aspects of subject participation and study conduct.
- May manage staff in the Medical Affairs Department or direct reports, including pharmacy staff and Physician or Medical Assistants.
- Contribute to the feasibility process by providing a medical perspective.
- Interact with clients to provide a medical viewpoint during study conduct or feasibility processes.
- Lead and direct medical emergencies, being available on-call to address questions.
- Supervise staff during duties.
- Aid in hiring, recruiting, and retaining key high-caliber staff to support project development.
