Job Summary:
As a Construction Solar Battery Electrical Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for promoting and selling integrated solar energy solutions – including solar photovoltaic systems, battery storage, roofing, and electrical services – to residential and commercial clients involved in new construction projects. You will educate builders, homeowners, and business owners on the benefits of solar power and battery backup, assess their project needs, and design customized solutions that meet those needs. In this mid-to-senior level role, you will manage the sales cycle from initial inquiry through contract signing and coordinate with project teams to ensure successful installation, making certain each system is installed according to contract and quality standards. Your primary goal is to drive sustainable energy adoption in new construction, contribute to our company’s growth, and deliver an exceptional customer experience in every project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage potential customers in the new construction market, including residential homebuilders, commercial developers, and property owners.
- Conduct consultations, site visits, and plan reviews to evaluate requirements and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop proposals that integrate solar PV, battery storage, roofing, and electrical work.
- Manage the sales process from lead generation through closing, maintaining CRM pipeline and documentation.
- Assist clients with financing, contracts, permits, and incentive paperwork.
- Coordinate with project managers and crews to ensure smooth installation and client satisfaction.
- Conduct post-installation follow-ups and generate referrals through excellent service.
- Attend industry events, workshops, and trade shows for business development.
- Provide sales forecasts, market insights, and strategic input to leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in solar energy, construction, or related fields.
- Strong familiarity with solar PV and battery storage systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative sales skills.
- Ability to manage a pipeline independently and use CRM tools effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in new construction sales and working with builders/contractors.
- Knowledge of roofing and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with California solar incentives, financing, and SGIP battery rebate programs.
- NABCEP or other industry certifications (preferred, not required).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other common Bay Area languages).
