Long-Term Care Order Entry Technician
OVERVIEW:
Infinium Pharmacy is a privately owned and independently operated, Long Term Care Pharmacy, dedicated to meeting the growing need for personalized pharmaceutical care in Skilled and Assisted Living facilities.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Order-Entry Technician performs day-to-day duties under the supervision of the Data Entry Coordinator in accordance with established pharmacy principles, polices, and procedures and/or law.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Entering of patient information & prescription orders
- Customer Service (answering phones, contacting physician offices and insurance companies)
- Printing monthly sheets and/or reports
- Prescription Fulfillment
- Resolving daily insurance claim rejections
- Other Duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Education
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Missouri Pharmacy Technician License
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
Qualifications
- Long Term Care experience, preferred
- Microsoft Office knowledge
- Typing and/or data entry skills
- Basic computer, email & faxing knowledge
- Great attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
- Superior organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment/self-driven
- Ability to take direction
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Continually required to sit for up to 10 hours/day
- Continually utilize visual acuity to read fine and/or small print, and to work off a computer screen for up to 10 hours/day
- Occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds
- Having a range of motion from kneeling to bending over to raising arms above head to occasionally retrieve stock
- Travel: 0%-5% (facility visits may be required on occasion but should not require any overnight stays)
A background check and pre-employment drug screen is required.
