Responsibilities
- Pre/Post PACU caring for patients before and after surgeries.
· Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage, and various other nursing interventions
· Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
· Adept at inserting IVs while retaining patient comfort in the process.
· Committed to observing patient conditions and ensuring the proper balance of IV Fluids
· Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care.
· Identifying patient care requirements
· Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise.
· Motivating patients to help restore and improve their health and self-esteem.
· Providing medication to patients and providing pre- and post-operation care
· Providing psychological and physical support to parents, family members and friends
· Assuring the quality of care to patients through adhering to therapeutic standards
· Ensuring that patients and fellow employees adhere to infection control policies and protocols, medicine storage and administration procedures and substance control regulations.

· Great physical strength and endurance and the ability to lift heavy equipment and patients.

Education/ Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience within ER/ICU/PACU Nursing- Required
Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing. Obtains and subsequently maintains required ACLS, PALS, BLS certifications.
