OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is full-time and will report to the Product Development Manager. The primary duty of this role is to work closely with the designers to create tech packs for all design work, submit to factory for sampling in a timely manner along with tracking and ensuring on-time sample delivery.
JOB DUTIES: RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Product Development
- Responsible for creating tech packs for headwear, apparel and team sports items based off artwork created by designers.
- Responsible for making sure all details are correct and consistent in tech packs across each program.
- Daily communication with factories during sampling/developing process answering any questions in relationship to sample development. Must respond same day to all coorespondance with factories.
- Must make sure that all samples arrive according to timelines.
- Stay knowledgeable on sample status of all current programs.
- Responsible for making sure tech packs stay updated with any changes.
- When initial samples arrive, work with designer/salesman to make sure samples are approved according to tech pack or make any necessary changes to tech pack or sample.
- Keep samples organized and available – maintain samples and sample area.
- Once samples are sent from the factory, would ensure pricing is in the PLM for each sample.
- Responsible for making sure licensed samples are given to VP for licensing submissions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, written and verbal skills and strict attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, but also function well in a team environment, display professional maturity and interact with all levels of management.
- Results-oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Familiar with fabrics and colors a plus.
- Must be able to learn Product Life Management system and be proficient.
