Accountant / Bookkeeper

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team for multiple companies. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processing using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify cash balances and identify discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and tax filings while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
• Assist with governmental and non-profit accounting requirements, ensuring adherence to specific reporting standards and fund tracking.
• Analyze accounts through account analysis procedures, double-entry bookkeeping practices, and journal entry reviews to maintain data integrity.
• Contribute to budgeting processes by providing relevant financial data and supporting budget analysis efforts.
• Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with Quicken is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 Years of experience as an Accountant.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management.
• Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes.
• Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
• Solid understanding of debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping practices, and financial report writing skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex accounts and conduct account analysis efficiently.
