- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing DSM-5 Criteria
- Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention therapy
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with best practices in behavioral health, including addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, and gender issues counseling.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote mental health services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate medical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management, patient care plans, and behavioral management strategies for clients with disabilities or developmental disorders such as autism.
- Engage in clinical research projects to enhance therapeutic techniques and contribute to data collection efforts for continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing ICD coding for billing and documentation purposes.
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LPC or equivalent) with state certification or licensing credentials.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, crisis management, social work, or clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and electronic medical records systems.
- Expertise in working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder.
- Proficiency in delivering evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering services remotely while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, team collaboration, and crisis intervention.
