- Provide direct support to individuals in various settings, such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or private homes
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfer of individuals, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Monitor and report changes in individuals' physical or mental condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Engage individuals in meaningful activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
Experience:
- Previous experience in senior care, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
- Knowledge of ADLs and experience providing personal care assistance
- Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and equipment for safe transfers
- Ability to follow instructions from healthcare professionals
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals and their families
