What You’ll Do:
- Assist with the creation of financial statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Create purchase orders.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports.
- Monitor fixed asset and depreciation accounts.
- Identify and help implement improvements to existing processes and systems.
- Record general journal entries.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors.
- Assist with the creation and tracking of the annual financial budget.
- Support the monitoring of indirect cost rates and pools.
- Assist in the creations of the Monthly Financial Review.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Entry Level: 0-3 years of experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strives for continuous improvement and creative new solutions.
- Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills.
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of defense contracting
- Experience with Unanet ERP
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires a US government security clearance.
- Nice to have - Secret level clearance.
- Acceptable - No current clearance but eligibility to obtain
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position and work on a computer for prolonged periods
