Job Title: Group Home Manager (Registered Nurse) – Disabled Adult Group Home
Position Summary:
The Group Home Manager (RN) is responsible for the overall management of a residential facility for adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities. This role combines clinical nursing expertise with administrative leadership to ensure residents receive high-quality care in a safe, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical oversight, including health assessments, medication administration, and coordination of medical care for residents.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans addressing both medical and psychosocial needs.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate direct care staff, ensuring compliance with caregiving and medical protocols.
- Oversee daily operations, manage staff schedules, and ensure a safe, person-centered environment.
- Maintain accurate medical and administrative records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure the facility meets all health, safety, and licensing requirements, including those specific to nursing practice.
- Manage the facility’s budget, purchasing, and medical supply inventory.
- Serve as the primary liaison with residents’ families, healthcare providers, and community agencies.
- Respond to emergencies and provide on-call support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a healthcare or residential setting (experience with adults with disabilities preferred).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and knowledge of healthcare regulations.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
