We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department in delivering high-quality care to our residents. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with a passion for long-term care, regulatory compliance, and team development.
DON Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the nursing department
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
- Develop and implement policies and procedures
- Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellent resident care
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and budget oversight
- Participate in surveys and ensure readiness at all times
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in TN
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in LTC/SNF
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
