Job Overview
New lab to west valley with huge growth potential. Lab is mostly digital and implements a macron mill and sprint ray. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Lab Technician to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing dental prosthetics, crowns, bridges, and other dental appliances with precision and care. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing patient outcomes by providing high-quality, custom dental solutions. The ideal candidate will combine technical skill with a thorough understanding of dental anatomy, materials, and infection control protocols to deliver exceptional results.

Duties

  • Fabricate dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays, onlays, and orthodontic appliances using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and traditional laboratory techniques.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment including microscopes, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accurate measurements and fit.
  • Collaborate closely with dentists to interpret prescriptions and technical specifications for custom dental devices.
  • Maintain detailed records of all laboratory procedures, materials used, and quality control measures in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
  • Ensure all fabrication processes adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to guarantee patient safety.
  • Assist in chairside procedures when necessary by supporting dental assistants with tasks such as patient assessment or taking medical imaging.
  • Support the dental team by providing insights into dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging relevant to prosthetic design.
  • Manage inventory of lab materials and supplies while maintaining a clean, organized workspace aligned with infection control standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training on EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or similar platforms for accurate documentation of lab work and patient records.
  • Contribute to the development of new techniques or materials that enhance the quality of dental fabrication services offered by the practice.

Qualifications

  • Proven laboratory experience in dental fabrication or related fields; experience working with CAD/CAM systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology essential for precise fabrication and communication with the clinical team.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or comparable platforms for managing medical records efficiently.
  • Experience in chairside assisting including patient assessment, vital signs measurement, and supporting dental procedures is a plus.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and data security.
  • Skilled in using precision tools such as micrometers for accurate measurements during fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique to ensure safe laboratory environments.
  • Ability to interpret digital impressions and utilize CAD software effectively for designing restorations.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with dentists, dental assistants, and other team members across various specialties including pediatrics when necessary. Pay: $22.89 - $27.57 per hour
