The ICSC Project Team, under the leadership of Vice President Ankit Gajjar, has successfully managed this Internship Program for several years, resulting in excellent post-program employment opportunities with ICSC and other construction firms. We are seeking 10 motivated interns to join our comprehensive, 11-week program, offering hands-on training with real-world projects, both on-site and in-office, complemented by virtual complete project cycle training.

PROGRAM DETAILS
- Duration: 11 weeks (June 08 – August 22)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 8 hours per day, plus lunch
LOCATION

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Demonstrated responsibility, dependability, and strong communication (written and verbal) and time management skills.
- Possess reliable transportation to and from the assigned jobsite and/or the ICSC main office.
- Must have a working mobile phone and a personal laptop computer.
- Proficiency in basic MS Suite and/or Google Suite applications.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Compensation: Weekly pay at $21/hour.

SPECIFIC INTERN DUTIES AND TASKS
Interns will actively support the project team by performing the following tasks:
- Reviewing on-site construction activities against the current project schedule.
- Tracking and processing submissions and specifications via Procore.
- Generating purchase orders on Procore and coordinating material orders.
- Managing site inventory.
- Performing quantity takeoffs.
- Coordinating and checking project material deliveries (onsite and in-shop).
- Printing and coordinating documentation for upcoming inspections.
- Attending site meetings and documenting meeting minutes.
- Participating in the generation of 2- and 6-week lookahead schedules.
- Assisting project supervision with subcontractor billings.
INTERNSHIP PROJECT FOCUS
The purpose of the internship project is to evaluate the individual’s (or team’s) understanding of the complete construction project lifecycle, from inception to closeout. Interns will gain proficiency in:
- Estimating: Performing quantity takeoffs and generating estimates.
- Scope Management: Reviewing and interpreting project scope, identifying potential issues.
- Scheduling: Setting up basic project schedules (Award to Closeout) and generating 2- and 6-week lookaheads.
- Submittals: Reading project specifications, generating a submittal log, and managing the generation, review, coordination, organization, and transmission of submittal packages.
- Costing: Tracking project costs and implementing cost management methods.
- Billings: Setting up Schedule of Values and submitting client bills.
- Change Orders: Identifying, preparing, documenting, and submitting change orders.
- Closeout: Understanding the importance and execution of the successful closeout phase.
PROGRAM DELIVERABLES
- Project Documentation Comprehension: Demonstrate understanding and ability to comprehend project documents.
- Written Report: Submit a 2-page writeup summarizing the summer internship experience (details to be provided).
- Final Presentation: Individuals or teams will prepare a presentation at the end of the term. The presentation must cover all aspects of the assigned project, highlighting lessons learned and the ability to handle daily engineering tasks. The best presentation will receive an award and a potential offer for a second internship or a full-time position at Infinity Contracting Services Corp.
