Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team on a full-time, on-site basis in Vero Beach, FL. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial health of our organization by supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting department.

Please note: Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates must be local to the Vero Beach area or willing to relocate at their own expense.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions

· Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

· Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and balance sheets

· Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

· Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports

· Maintain and organize financial records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

· Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or areas for process improvement

· Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy

· Support senior accounting staff and management with ad hoc financial projects

Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

· 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience

· Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, Quickbooks, or similar) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel

· Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles

· Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site team environment

Preferred:

· Experience with ERP systems

· Familiarity with financial reporting and variance analysis

· Experience supporting audit preparation or working with external auditors

· Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
