Job Description

Allflight Corporation is seeking a Quality Control & Automation Engineer to join our team.  We offer competitive rates, paid vacation & holidays, medical, dental & vision insurance, and matching 401k.  Allflight is a great opportunity to expand your aviation career at our FAA approved Repair Station in a convenient location.  This position reports to the VP of Repairs & Manufacturing and involves developing automation solutions, analyzing, and improving repair processes, and collaborating closely with our engineering and quality control teams.

Candidate will create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing/repair systems & processes while maintaining the standard of operations. This position will interact with all areas of the business and will serve as an active participant in ongoing continuous improvement projects with a focus on progress reporting, tracking and executive report generation.  Designs, redesigns, or enhances tooling, product, and shop aids using CAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA software.The position will work closely with leaders in identifying, mapping, and capturing key performance and workflow metrics that will portray the impact of each continuous improvement initiative. Data analysis, report design and executive presentation development are key responsibilities. Participating in the design and delivery of select process improvement training modules will provide an opportunity to support the execution of important new initiatives and serve as a change agent.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with members of the operations team to identify cost-effective operation layouts and identify needs for new product lines.
  • Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas, layouts and shop aids to create efficient operations methods and safe practices.
  • Develops work standards (Standard Work) and line balancing to enhance productivity.
  • Identify cost reductions and provide ROI justifications for change.
  • Maintains knowledge of best practices in operational methods, and leverages technology and equipment to maintain the organization’s competitive edge.
  • Identifies and assesses established standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions.
  • Use data to report status, performance, create and measure KPIs and progress.
  • Monitor and develop reporting for key performance data to track progress over sustained periods of time upon completion of continuous improvement projects.
  • Participate in ongoing project team meetings to contribute ideas and capture and report on team action steps.
  • Work independently in managing the data capture and analysis requirements for multiple projects at a time.
  • Develops and maintains management information, planning, and control systems.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships and collaboration with other employees. 
  • Develop personal skills for continuous improvement.  

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5 years in relevant industry.
  • Experience in relevant software and tools for structural analysis and design (CAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
  • Proficiency in kinematics, automation testing preferred
  • Profeciency with MATLAB and Python highly desired
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Aviation experience and familiar with aerospace regulations and standards.
  • Must be able to work alone, without direction, and with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite proficiency level.
  • Ability to analyze complex manufacturing data.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in cooperation with diverse teams.

 

Salary : $65,000 - $95,000
