Apprentice Automotive Technician

INFINITI of Boerne is building a technician pipeline, and we are looking for the right person to grow with us from the ground up. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who has the aptitude, the work ethic, and a genuine interest in vehicles. We will invest in the rest.

What You Can Earn

Express technicians earn between $15 and $25 per hour. As your certifications and skills advance, so does your earning potential.

What You Will Do

• Perform express services including oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, and filter replacements.
• Support experienced technicians on more complex repairs and learn hands on with the direction and guidance on experienced technicians with complex diagnostic and repair processes.
• Document work accurately on repair orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized bay and uphold shop safety standards.
• Progress through skill development milestones and ASE certification with our support.

• Recent graduates of automotive technology programs including UTI, Lincoln Tech, community college programs, or equivalent.
• Express/Lube technicians or express service technicians ready to advance into a full repair track.
• Career changers with mechanical aptitude and a serious commitment to learning the trade.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of or current enrollment in an automotive technology program such as UTI, Lincoln Tech, a community college program, or equivalent.
• Any ASE certification or Student Certification is a plus but is not required.
• Previous experience in express service, quick lube, or any mechanical role is helpful but not required.
• Genuine interest in vehicle systems, diagnostics, and the trade as a long-term career path.

Required

• Basic hand tool set. Starter tools are acceptable as built-in tool storage is provided in our shop.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle service.
• Availability for a schedule that includes rotating Saturdays.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
