We're partnering with a leading chemical manufacturing organization to identify a Safety & Security Manager who will play a critical role in shaping the future of safety, security, and emergency preparedness at a large-scale production facility in El Dorado, Arkansas.

This isn't a role focused solely on policies, audits, and regulatory requirements. The organization is looking for a leader who can inspire a proactive safety culture, build strong partnerships across operations and maintenance teams, and help create an environment where every employee is empowered to identify risks, speak up, and take ownership of safety. You'll work closely with site leadership to develop and execute the facility's long-term safety strategy while leading initiatives that improve performance, strengthen accountability, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the site's safety strategy and culture transformation initiatives
- Championing a Safety-First mindset across all levels of the organization
- Managing regulatory compliance and serving as the primary liaison with agencies such as OSHA, DOT, and DHSOverseeing Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Safe Work Permit programs
- Leading incident investigations and root cause analyses to drive sustainable improvements
- Developing and maintaining emergency response and crisis management programs
- Partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to proactively reduce risk
- Managing contractor safety programs and ensuring alignment with site standards
- Monitoring safety performance metrics and driving corrective actions where needed
- Representing the facility in corporate safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Fire Engineering, or a related field10 years of progressive safety leadership experience within chemical, petrochemical, refining, energy, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environments
- Experience developing and implementing Behavior-Based Safety programs
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and DHS regulations
- Proven success driving safety culture improvements and organizational change
- Experience leading incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization
Preferred
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Experience with emergency response planning and fire protection systems
- Experience working within high-hazard manufacturing or process environments
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
