Overview

The Associate Director, Media Analytics, DTAI will evolve our client-facing, data-storytelling capability within the practice and play an integral role in providing strategic support and subject matter expertise in measurement and analytics. They will focus on narrative building to enhance our data-based story-telling capabilities and bring new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives, etc. to key client relationships. The AD will drive data-led integration & measurement strategies on behalf of our clients, while partnering closely with Strategy, Activation, Operations, Audience and AdOps teams to implement these strategies across multi-channel activations.

The AD will bring a combination of sophisticated data management experience and business acumen, balancing a strategic mindset with a robust capability to get tactical and into the weeds. They will also bring deep client, relationship and project management proficiency, together with a passion for building new capabilities through experimentation. In this role, the AD will be required to unpack and structure ambiguous problems, own and drive projects from start to finish, apply sound business judgment, and communicate complex information effectively across a variety of stakeholders. The AD will generate insights based on media and marketing performance data to align with strategic planning and will work with both first-party and third-party data vendors and publishers to maximize the data opportunity for the client, to go above and beyond status-quo.

The AD will need to indirectly influence across senior business leaders and clients. They will lead with genuine curiosity, and demonstrate a natural desire to dive deep in the numbers to discover context, create business cases, and go beyond usual approaches to solve problems and seize opportunities. The AD will have the depth of experience and willingness to “have an opinion” backed up by insight and analytics and the confidence to influence key stakeholders in meetings.

Requiring high levels of collaboration and embodying a coaching mindset, the AD will provide clients & internal stakeholders with a holistic understanding of their audience’s media consumption patterns, ensuring campaigns reach the right viewers on the most effective platforms using a playbook of tools, including 1P (Epsilon), third-party data providers (addressable & non-addressable, aggregators, industry research) as well as tools like comScore, SimilarWeb, and others, to optimize national, regional and local planning.

Responsibilities

  • Be an in-house expert on how 1P and 3P audience data and data-driven media activation can drive business and improve ROI for clients, including communicating horizontally and vertically across stakeholders
  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations aligned with client objectives
  • Align reporting with key stakeholders and strategic initiatives
  • Lead stakeholder relationships and ensure client satisfaction
  • Integrate market intelligence into media strategy for proactive planning
  • Negotiate contracts and align vendor solutions with business needs
  • Influence senior stakeholders through compelling, strategic insights
  • Connect diagnostic analytics to business objectives for actionable outcomes
  • Work with cross-DTAI teams to leverage advanced modeling techniques to improve marketing/media ROI
  • Lead experimentation frameworks and ensure alignment with business KPIs
  • Streamline cross-channel reporting processes for efficiency and scalability
  • Understand how platform/data technologies work and offer the ability to explain technical concepts in ordinary terms (be technically savvy & understand the opportunities and limitations)
  • Partner with Data Architecture and Analytics leadership to create new product offerings and thought leadership to drive our clients’ business
  • Partner with internal Programmatic and media investment arms to support campaign activation as well as advanced data use cases
  • Oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review the writing of media documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, agreements, client memos, and correspondence from within and outside the agency)
  • Share knowledge with client and internal teams regarding derived insights and results to impact business needs and further growth
  • Identify organic growth opportunities and craft meaningful proposals for clients to maximize their data strategy as it relates to ad spend
  • Actively participate in industry learning. Regularly meet with internal stakeholders and vendors to POVs and materials are up to date and translate these materials into meaningful client-facing materials to support learning, evangelism and advocacy for Infinite Roar

Qualifications

  • 5 years managing relationships across complex hierarchies and demonstrated ability to influence indirectly
  • Proven ability to translate analytics into strategic business recommendations
  • Experience in competitive and market intelligence integration
  • Expertise in A/B testing, and experimentation frameworks
  • Familiarity with automation tools and process optimization techniques
  • Excellent oral, written and client presentation skills, with the ability to create compelling data-driven narratives and a natural knack for story-telling. Hands on experience translating complex concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of ad and marketing technology, including media buying, multi-channel measurement, creating measurement frameworks and learning agendas, as well as breadth of knowledge on ad servers, dynamic creative optimization, OLV/CTV Linear measurement, ad verification, customer data platforms, identity resolution solutions, DSPs, etc.
  • Deep experience in the use of audience data to impact business outcomes through effective media strategies and activations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency and understanding of cross-channel media planning, execution and measurement processes
  • Experience successfully managing multiple clients and/or brands across a variety of third-party marketing measurement technologies and platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapting to new ad measurement and technology platforms, from high-level understanding through implementation (DSP, Ad Servers, Mobile web and in-app tracking deployment experience necessary) and to train team members quickly and effectively on these same topics
  • Embody a can-do attitude, and a “figureoutability” mindset
  • Day 1 readiness

Additional Qualifications (Nice To Have)

  • Start-up experience (or commensurate entrepreneurial experience) strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding and experience based point-of-view on best of breed technology tools for BI/Data Analytics, Martech, Adtech, CDP, CRM, etc. preferred.
  • Previous agency-side experience
  • Experience working with marketing mix modeling (MMM), attribution and measurement companies: including Neustar, MMA (IPSOS), Analytic Partners, Nielsen (mROI; Visual IQ), IRI, Circana, (m)PHASIZE, etc.
  • Familiarity with:
  • Web analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Surveys (Lucid, Millward Brown, Nielsen, etc.)
  • Competitive monitoring tools (Nielsen, comScore, Kantar, Pathmatics, Competitrac, Numerator, etc.)

Compensation Range: $112,290.00 - $161,280.00. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
