What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor/Assessor position at Infinite Possibilities Counseling Service, LLC?
Infinite Possibilities Counseling Service is an established contracted provider with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services. We are seeking licensed mental/behavioral health clinicians in Georgia to provide in person counseling and/or behavioral health assessments for clients referred by the GA Division of Family and Children Services.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related human services field
- Licensure or certification as a Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker(e.g., LPC, LMFT) or pursuing such license
- Experience working with individuals with trauma
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities
- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling
- Relevant experience in mental health counseling or a similar role
- Knowledge of working with individuals with behavioral health issues
- Familiarity with crisis management techniques and interventions
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and referral sources
- Understanding of applied behavior analysis principles
Responsibilities include but are not limted to:
- Provide counseling services to individuals with behavioral health issues, and mental health concerns
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on individual needs
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, and applied behavior analysis
- Assist clients in managing crisis situations and provide support during difficult times
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and data collection
- Provide addiction counseling and support for individuals struggling with substance abuse
- Offer guidance and support to individuals with PTSD and other trauma-related conditions
