Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the appropriate materials and techniques for each project.
- Perform plastering and caulking tasks to ensure smooth finishes.
- Execute restoration work on existing structures while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members on renovation projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various painting and construction tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction estimating and basic math for project planning.
- Strong knowledge of color theory and its application in painting projects.
- Experience in residential painting as well as commercial painting environments.
- Familiarity with plastering techniques and trim carpentry skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Knowledge of industrial painting methods and concrete finishing techniques.
- Experience with fixture installation, masonry work, and remodeling projects.
- Maintenance Person experience is beneficial for addressing various maintenance tasks.
