Position Summary
The Occupational Therapist provides therapy services to support children’s fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development in inclusive preschool and therapy settings. The OT collaborates with teachers, speech therapists, and behavior analysts to help children develop independence, regulation, and functional skills across home, school, and community environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations of fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive functioning.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and therapy goals.
- Deliver therapy in individual, small group, and classroom-integrated formats.
- Collaborate with teachers to embed sensory and motor strategies into daily routines.
- Provide training for staff and families on sensory regulation and adaptive strategies.
- Maintain therapy documentation for Medicaid/insurance billing and compliance with Montana Board of Occupational Therapy Practice standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning with SLPs, BCBAs, and educators.
- Supervise OT assistants and interns as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Montana state license from the Montana Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.
- NBCOT certification required.
- Experience in pediatrics, autism, and early intervention strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of sensory integration strategies.
- Familiarity with Medicaid/insurance documentation.

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
