Shipping and Receiving Lead

Position Description:

Responsible for processing all international shipments and assisting with shipping domestic shipping. He'She identifies all shipments while coordinating with Technicians, Managers, and Engineering to ensure rapid, accurate delivery and receipts of products.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process the physical receiving of all packages delivered by UPS, FEDEX, and or DHL
• Properly process the paperwork for all incoming shipments
• Process inbound shipments, including verifying quantities, part numbers against Pos and paperwork
• Prepare, scan, and file proper paperwork for all incoming shipments
• Auditing warehouse inventory periodically
• Working with other departments to provide material and information as needed
• Must be able to follow work instructions

Environmental Health and Safety

• Serve as Integra Optics EHS Lead with a focus on providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors
• Ensure the organization follows all relevant laws, regulations and any other requirements relating to environmental aspects or workplace hazards
• Prevent workplace injuries, ill health, and pollution
• Educating and empowering our employees with defined expectations
• Implementing and tracking objectives, targets, and programs to continually improve the effectiveness of our EHS performance

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations (count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.)
• Experience working with ERP'MRP systems
• Experience working with small package couriers UPS, FedEx, and DHL
• Experience with shipping and receiving freight

Personal Traits and Characteristics:

• Skilled at time management and attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated individual able to work under minimal supervision in a team environment
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude desired

Education and/or Experience:

• 1-2 years’ experience working in packaging and shipping of commercial products

Reports To: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Physical Job Requirements:

• Sitting: Must be able to sit for a minimum of 4 hours
• Walking: Throughout the facility on a continuous basis
• Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Climbing: Must be able to climb stairs and ladder
• Talking/Hearing: Must be able to communicate on the telephone

Environment: Warehouse environment, occasionally hot or cold temperatures, moderate noise level, occasional dust, chemical odors.

8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, Onsite.
