Job Summary
The Therapeutic Day Treatment QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) delivers daily therapeutic, behavioral, and crisis-intervention services to students during the school day. This role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, providing emotional and behavioral skill-building, and collaborating with school staff and families to help students succeed socially, emotionally, and academically.

Duties
Direct Therapeutic Support
- Provide daily individual and group TDT services to assigned students in the school setting.
Treatment Planning & Documentation
- Support clinical supervisors and therapists with information for assessments and initial treatment plans.
- Update and implement Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) based on student needs and Medicaid criteria.
- Complete daily progress notes, attendance logs, and documentation that meet DMAS standards.
- Assist with data collection for re-authorizations and Medicaid utilization requirements.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential student records in compliance with DMAS, DBHDS, HIPAA, and FERPA.
Collaboration & Care Coordination
- Work closely with school staff, teachers, administrators, and counselors to support student success.
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings, behavior support meetings, and parent conferences as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding progress, skill-building, and concerns.
- Coordinate care with ICW clinical supervisors, therapists, and leadership.
School Environment Support
- Provide in-classroom, pull-out, hallway, and transition support depending on the student’s needs.
- Monitor lunch, recess, transitions, and other high-stress school times for targeted students.
- Assist students in maintaining behavioral expectations and academic engagement.
- Model positive conflict-resolution skills and support healthy peer interactions.
Professional Conduct & Compliance
- Follow all DMAS, DBHDS, HIPAA, FERPA, and ICW agency policies.
- Attend weekly or bi-weekly supervision sessions.
- Participate in mandatory trainings (trauma-informed care, crisis response, documentation compliance, etc.).
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.
- Teach and reinforce coping skills, emotional regulation, social skills, and problem-solving techniques.
- Assist students with behavioral challenges, trauma responses, anger management, anxiety, ADHD symptoms, and school transitions.
- Utilize crisis-intervention and de-escalation strategies when needed.
- Support students during high-stress moments, transitions, and academic tasks.
- Reinforce positive behavioral expectations and model healthy communication.
Skills
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
- Crisis-management and de-escalation abilities.
- Proficiency in group therapy facilitation, child & family counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Knowledge of mental health counseling modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to teach coping skills, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
- Excellent communication skills for working with children, families, schools, and community agencies.
- Capable of handling sensitive situations involving trauma or mental health crises with professionalism and empathy.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
