Position: Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Rockville, MD
Terms: Fulltime
Key Responsibilities:
Hand on experience in accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Prepare and review periodic financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
Collaborate with the Commercial teams to review contracts, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and accurate revenue recognition.
Prepare annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts, providing detailed financial analysis and variance reporting.
Prepare and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, optimizing the company’s tax position.
Assist in the development of financial controls and reporting aligned with company standards (as needed).
Evaluate and implement finance technologies, ensuring systems are optimized for financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
Collaborate with legal, product, and compliance teams to ensure financial alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
8 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of financial analysis in a technology product environment.
4 years of senior-level accounting management experience in a fast-paced technology company. Experience in the healthcare or IoT industries is a plus
Strong understanding of US GAAP, ASC 606, and experience managing compliance with SOC 2 and other regulatory standards.
Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance reporting at federal, state, and local levels.
Experience with payroll and a proven ability to streamline accounting processes.
Proficiency with accounting software and advanced skills in Excel. Prior experience in [list technologies] preferred but not a requirement.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree and CPA preferred but not required).
Proven ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a strong focus on process optimization
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of managing and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
