Position: HR Generalist

Position Summary
The HR Generalist supports the full spectrum of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This role serves as a key partner to employees and management, ensuring HR policies, procedures, and practices align with organizational goals and applicable labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HRIS maintenance
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, payroll coordination, and workplace issues
- Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer processes
- Assist with performance management processes, employee development initiatives, and training coordination
- Support employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and resolution guidance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, EEO, ADA, FMLA)
- Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and vendor coordination
- Support compensation activities, including salary benchmarking and job classification
- Maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures
- Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance requirements (including government or contractor-related HR reporting, if applicable)
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational culture and workforce planning
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and employee advocacy skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–6 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role
- Experience in a regulated, technology, healthcare, or government-adjacent environment preferred
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
