Job Descriptions:

• We are looking for a DBA working on MSSQL and PostgreSQL database environments primarily on Azure.
  Key Responsibilities:

• Database Architecture & Design: Leads the design and implementation of database architectures that support business requirements, ensuring scalability, high performance, availability, and security.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization: Conducts advanced performance analysis and tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and adjusting database configurations for optimal efficiency.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Implements and manages solutions for high availability per client requirement and develops/implements backup, recovery, and failover procedures.
• Installation, Upgrades & Patching: Conduct the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL instances on IaaS and PaaS platforms, including minor and major version upgrades and security patching.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitors database health, performance, and capacity and leads the troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues.
• Security & Compliance: Implements and manages database security controls, including access management (RBAC), encryption, and authentication (LDAP), to ensure compliance with client defined staandards
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Works closely with development, QA, and application teams on schema design, code reviews, and best practices. Mentors junior DBAs and provides technical guidance to other IT staff as required.
• Postgre tools usage: Knowledge on Petroni/ETCD/Encryption setup &configuration will be a added plue. Any cloud services (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform) and private networking (Basic knowledge), Linux and SQL expertise
• Automation & Scripting: Automates routine database operations, deployments, and monitoring tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl) and tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Documentation: Creates and maintains detailed documentation regarding database configurations, architectures, processes, and standards.
• Migration to MSSQL and from Postgre: Leads and executes the migration to and from MSSQL in efficient and automated manner, perform post migration checks for accuracy of migration

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of hands-on database administration experience, with experience in MSSQL and PostgreSQL in an enterprise environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in MSSQL and PostgreSQL architecture, performance tuning, high availability concepts, and the Linux operating system.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to resolve complex issues quickly.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is often required.
• On-Call Support: Must be available for a flexible work schedule, including on-call rotation for 24x7 operations.

Salary : $110,000
