Job details:
Role: Senior Product Service Engineer
Work Location: Minneapolis, MN / West Palm Beach, FL
Duration: 6 to 12 months
Must have
- Understand how the application works from a user perspective
- Talk to users and gather issue details
- Investigate support tickets and recurring problems
- Basic root cause analysis
- SQL queries to validate data and investigate issues
- Linux/Unix command line
- CloudWatch / Grafana monitoring tools
- AWS familiarity (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch)
- Ability to reproduce issues in a local/test environment
- Understanding of how bugs move through the SDLC process
Additional:
- Independently handle the more complex issues
- Better customer-facing communication
- Better root cause analysis
- Better understanding of the overall application
- Identify recurring issues and product improvement opportunities
- Help prioritize defects/enhancements based on customer impact
- Likely mentor junior team members
- Act as the escalation point for difficult issues
