Position Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with experience in co-occurring disorders to join our compassionate team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of substance use treatment, mental health challenges, and holistic recovery approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide group, individual, and family counseling focused on substance use and co-occurring disorders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, including mental health professionals, medical staff, and case managers.
- Document client progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Educate clients on coping strategies, relapse prevention, and wellness practices.
- Facilitate referrals for additional services as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Active LCDC license in the State of Texas (required).
- Experience working with clients experiencing co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
- Proficiency in maintaining clinical documentation.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices preferred.
