Reporting to the Manufacturing Technology Manager for Driveline Components and Viscosity Modifiers (VM), you will work closely with counterparts in all functions across all regions on projects supporting the Driveline (Enabling Electrification) and/or Functional Polymers business strategy. Responsibilities include supporting new product development from ideation through commercial delivery, leading continuous improvement initiatives for cost savings and sustainability credits, and providing process/product expertise that enables our transformation strategy while protecting Infineum’s brand reputation and helping ensure “Nobody gets hurt.”

What we can expect from you:
- Support existing global manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement in areas of product quality, process safety, supply reliability, cost savings, and sustainability
- Provide internal and external customers clear and timely technical data, advice, and solutions as subject-matter expert for Driveline components and/or VM
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge management/sharing across teams and sites
- Leverage technical know-how, laboratory capabilities, digital tools, and external networks (universities, vendors, suppliers, etc.) to solve problems and deliver results
- Manage and/or support plant trials, manufacturing site approvals, raw material and supplier qualifications, site visits and assessments, component and basestock substitutions, process optimization, and new component development projects
- Oversee safe and efficient lab activity as supervisor for an R&D Technician
- Deep knowledge of our Driveline and/or VM products, processes, plants, projects, and people
- Improved business acumen and understanding of Infineum business processes from strategic planning and new product development through end-to-end supply and customer relationship management
- Influence on our Driveline components and/or VM supply strategy via component and business unit teams – and satisfaction that your contributions enabled their success
- A global network and appreciation for roles/responsibilities in the following functions: MFT, Manufacturing, GOSP, Strategic Marketing, Driveline (Enabling Electrification), Innovation & Technology, Procurement, Strategic Supply, PSRC, New Business Development, Global Supply Chain & Planning, Sales
- Familiarity with the additives market and industry players (suppliers, tollers, co-producers, distributors, customers, OEMs, etc.)
- Leadership experience supervising an R&D Technician
- Strong track record of demonstrating CARES behaviors – especially take ownership and accountability, passion for profit, and agility (i.e., break silos; decide fast, act fast; low risk, low process)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline with basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals and manufacturing operations
- Manufacturing experience (especially process engineering) in a chemical plant or similar industrial setting is preferred
- Project management or other cross-functional or interdisciplinary coordination experience
- Effective communication, influencing, relationship-building, and leadership skills
- Ability to collect and interpret data and apply expert judgement in problem-solving and decision-making
