Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
The Applications Engineering Senior Principal Engineer will lead and manage the Power IC product line Customer Application Engineering team of 10-20, who are focusing on advanced customer design-in of multiphase digital controllers, power stages, PoL and modules for key Infineon AI, Computing, Networking, and Communication customers.
This role requires establishing and leading the team, collaborating on internal and external customer partnerships, innovating in customer Voltage Regular (VR) solutions, and delivering high-quality design-in collateral to drive Infineon revenue.
The Key to success is establishing key customer relationships, leading the team in customer design wins and working diligently through any customer issues that arise.

Minimum of $247,840 base salary per year / Maximum of $340,780 base salary per year
Austin, TX
Minimum of $233,440 base salary per year / Maximum of $320,980 base salary per year
In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.

- Lead and support the technical application engineering team in go-to-market and customer design-in activities for multiphase controllers, power stages, and modules.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with key customers to enable Voltage Regulator design-in using Infineon products and ensure an inclusive, positive customer experience.
- Develop and implement product design-in procedures and collateral (e.g., datasheets, application notes, simulation tools, evaluation boards, and reference designs).
- Analyze customer power requirements, prepare detailed proposals, and partner with customers on design bring-up and validation.
- Translate customer needs into the Power IC roadmap, evaluate new power technologies and VR solutions, and provide competitive analysis of alternative offerings.
- Plan and execute the Power IC application roadmap, including demo boards and topologies for a broad range of applications.
- Support an inclusive, high-performing team culture through coaching, technical training, performance reviews, and ongoing learning and development for all team members.
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- Brings strong technical expertise in power supply control techniques, including digital controllers, power stages, PoL, and power-stage modules for power management.
- Demonstrates inclusive leadership with effective coaching and mentoring skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships across diverse engineering styles and backgrounds.
- Has deep knowledge of semiconductor design-in processes, application development, and customer support, with a track record of managing multiple projects and delivering on time.
- Possesses detailed understanding of relevant industry specifications (e.g., Intel and AMD VR enabling specs, SMBUS, PMBUS, AVS Bus, AMD SVI3, Intel SVID).
- Offers extensive hands-on experience with DC/DC switch-mode power supplies, including high-frequency, high-current, high-density designs, and strong lab skills in testing and debugging.
- Collaborates effectively across functions (e.g., engineering, sales, marketing, operations) to drive successful product adoption and customer outcomes.
- Typically brings around 15 years of engineering design and/or applications engineering and customer support experience, including :8 years leading application engineering teams; BSEE or MSEE preferred (or equivalent experience).
