Responsibilities:Our Walker, LA facility is seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Projects Leader to lead cross-functional teams in the execution of custom-engineered projects in an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of ETO processes, from concept through delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead teams across project management, project planning, and project engineering to deliver ETO projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary technical and project liaison with customers, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Change Management: Manage engineering changes and scope adjustments, balancing customer needs with internal capabilities and cost implications so that customer expectations are aligned and satisfaction is achieved.
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Design Involvement: Ensure customer needs are met throughout collaborative activities with systems and fabrication engineering, operations, and sales to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and manufacturability.
- Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Process improvements: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the ETO process to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, margin analysis, and performance metrics.
The ideal candidate will possess an engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, PMP preferred, 7 years of experience in engineering project management in a manufacturing environment.
